FAQs about BMW Cars
How difficult and expensive is it to repair and maintain a BMW? BMW requires an elevated level of expertise and diagnostic equipment in order to maintain and repair, but as required with other manufacturer that employ similar technology we find it reasonably affordable. The “do it yourself” days are behind us on most vehicles on the market, due to more electronics and electric system on the vehicles we see on the roads today.
Do you work on BMW and do you have the diagnosis equipment to test and repair? Yes we do all maintenance, diagnostics and repair required for BMW vehicles, by investing in tools that give us the ability to repair them and by continual training and practising to keep up with the new technology arising on the new vehicles.
How fast you can get parts? We have local suppliers for European vehicles and the market is well stoked with quality parts which are readily available.
I have an check engine light on. What does it mean? Check engine light when it appears on your dash board should not be ignored as “it’s ok the car runs fine I do not feel any difference” there are 2 types of faults that your car computer identifies called soft or hard codes. If the check engine light comes on without any apparent symptoms we refer to it as a soft code, which is not immediately felt as a drivability symptom but neglected for long will damage other systems so it must be promptly addressed to prevent excessive fuel consumption and preventing unnecessary engine repairs. Our recommendation is to have it scanned as soon as it appears to find out which system is affected and then diagnosed and repair that specific system.
